Our pupils are using tools professionally, growing and harvesting produce throughout the year.

Our pupils can talk about our garden and our plants. Our school garden is a fantastic achievement and we use the garden as much as we can, our garden has a future.
RHS Involving Children and Young People Award
Our pupils did activities that benefited our local area. This inspired them to enjoy the benefits of gardening while helping to create our school garden and food-growing initiatives.
RHS ‘It’s Your Neighbourhood
The aim is to clean and beautify their neighbourhoods, community allotments and school eco-groups. At GSC our good work was acknowledged by our local communities.
SQA Star Award 2018 - Innovation
Our team recognised that young people had a lack of awareness about their Mental Health and Wellbeing, and they struggled to be able to recognise and differentiate between issues that they may experience as well as known how to get support. This led them to form a quality design team and in conjunction with SQA developed the Mental Health & Wellbeing SCQF Level 4 & level 5 qualification.

RHS School Gardening Champion of the Year
David Nicol, our Science Teacher, won the prestigious Royal Horticultural Society School Gardening of the Year Award in 2017.
